Music Box (prototype Bonker)

Music Box : A bass distortion/fuzz pedal

  • Full frequency (no bass loss)
  • Buckets of "fat bottom fuzz"
  • Buffered wet-dry mix control to fine-tune definition

Notes
Case prepainted glossy black
No decals - hand painted lettering
No PCB - stripboard used instead
Incorporates the Buff'n'Blend circuit designed by Joel Purkiss
Based loosely on the Skronker design, with several changes
"Music Box" was the first of this kind, built especially by request and named for the customer. Future builds of this pedal will be branded as the "Bonker" - the bass Skronker.

Samples
All samples feature clean bass sound before the effect is engaged. The first sound features the treble switch turned "on", followed by the treble switched "off". Samples were recorded with humbuckers and a pick direct to PC from the pedal.
